Initial Consultation

Our First Meeting

The Financial Planning process begins with an initial consultation. This informal meeting focuses on understanding each other and discovering whether our planning process is the right fit for your unique situation. We accomplish this by learning about you, your current financial picture, and your broader financial and life goals while answering any questions about these topics.

After achieving a general idea of your financial situation, our fiduciary and moral obligation requires us to advise you on whether you will truly benefit from pursuing the financial planning process with us or if you would be best served by deferring the planning process or working with another advisory firm.

The initial consultation is typically 30-90 minutes in duration, dependent upon the breadth and depth of the topics discussed.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

To make the most of your initial consultation, please bring recent copies of the following:

  • Bank, Brokerage, and Annuity Statements
  • Retirement Plan Statements
  • Social Security Statements
  • Recent Tax Returns
  • Insurance Policies: (i.e., Life, Long Term Care, Home, Auto, etc.)

What Comes Next

If we have recommended that you would be best served by progressing through the planning process alongside us, and you trust in our abilities to add value in achieving your financial goals, the next step is to advance into the creation of a Retirement Plan.
